PC fans have been a necessity for some time now, as more powerful components generate increasing amounts of heat to be cooled. We have different thickness of fans available so please check each fan's specifications. All fans have 3-pin connectors (except the PWM fans which are 4-pin) for direct attachment to motherboard fan headers (pins). This allows the motherboard to read the fan's RPM (speed), and if supported, the motherboard can sound an alarm in the event of fan failure or obstruction. For customers who lack a sufficient number of motherboard fan headers, we would recommend using the Zalman Multi-Connector Cable ZM-MC1 to convert our 3-pin computer fans to a 4-pin connector.
