Zalman ZM-MFC1 Combo 5 Channel Fan Controller

The ZM-MFC1 Combo looks very similar to the ZM-MFC1 Plus but there are some significant differences that need to be highlighted. The Combo can control up to five fans: four 3-pin fans and (unusually) one 4-pin PWM fan. With the vast majority of CPU coolers being supplied with 4-pin PWM fans this controller allows you to take control of how fast the PWM fan spins, just like a standard 3-pin fan.

As well as a manual mode, where a turn of the knob will increase or decrease the fan speed just like the other four knobs, there is also the function of controlling the PWM fan speed automatically by choosing 1 of 3 settings. These modes will give you a capped maximum fan speed, labelled LOW, MED or HIGH. When in one of these modes the fan speed will increase and decreased depending on the temperature of the CPU. The flexibility will allow you to strike the right balance between noise output and cooling.
