Scythe Mini Ninja Rev.B Heatpipe CPU Cooler

The Scythe Ninja-PLUS has graced our product range for over two years and during that time it has become one of our most popular CPU coolers. The reason it has been so popular is probably because it is one of the most efficient heatsinks available.

One of the drawbacks of the Scythe Ninja-PLUS is its size. It stands 150mm tall and because of this it cannot fit into all cases. This is where the Mini Ninja comes in. In essence the Mini Ninja is just as its name suggests! The only difference between the Ninjas is their height, with the Mini Ninja only 115mm, which is 35mm shorter than its bigger brother. This gives the Mini broader compatibility with today's cases, especially smaller HTPC type cases.

You would think that reduction in size would affect performance, considering it has six less aluminium fins. In fact you would be wrong! From a performance point of view the Mini Ninja is virtually identical to the Ninja-PLUS. Where the Ninja-PLUS excels is when the heatsinks are being used fanless - then, the additional six fins are very beneficial.

As with the Ninja-PLUS, the Mini Ninja is compatible with virtually every desktop motherboard available: Intel's socket LGA1366, LGA1156, 775 and 478, and AMD's socket 754/939/940/AM2/AM2+/AM3.
