Nexus Prominent 5 Premium Case With Noise Absorption Foam

Nexus have fitted this case with their excellent case fans. There is a 140mm fan fitted on the ceiling and a 120mm fan fitted as a front intake fan. They have also used isolating padding where the PSU is fitted to prevent any resonance.

At the bottom of the case you will find ventilation holes (and space for a fan) for air-intake. The thick rubber feet keep these holes elevated from the floor to aid airflow and eliminate resonance.

Noise absorption
The Nexus Prominent cases are fitted with noise absorption material which is a premium dense foam/rubber-like material with great noise-reducing characteristics. This material is fitted to both side panels, i.e a flat layer on the panel behind the motherboard and a wave-form foam layer on the other panel. These materials help in reducing any airborne noise.

Tool-less installation
Virtually all components can be mounted inside the case without any tools. The PCI slots and Optical drives are fixed with tool-less solutions.

HDD-tray with vibration absorbers
The HDD trays are very easy to use. You just need to squeeze a tray to be able to remove a hard disk or replace it. Besides this, the HDD's mountings are fitted with rubber grommets to reduce resonance and vibration.

PSU-bumpers
Nexus have fixed some really great padding on the areas where normally the PSU would make contact with the chassis. They have also attached some really great patches on the bottom of the case and a really great anti-vibration gasket PSU opening at the back of the case. These 'bumpers' are made from soft foam/rubber-like material and are designed to absorb vibrations caused by the PSU and prevent any resonance being transmitted onto the chassis.
